| 1st July 2010: Charter 2010 available and open for training! |
|
Following earlier consultations, A.I.S.E. released today via www.sustainable-cleaning.com an upgrade of the Charter for Sustainable Cleaning, version 2010. Building on the success of the current scheme, A.I.S.E. aims to offer the most advanced sustainability scheme for the industry, in line with the EU political agenda. Building on the Charter 2005 principles, the major change proposed is the addition of a product dimension called Advanced Sustainability Procedure (ASP).
The website includes the overall principles of the project as well as the necessary information regarding the Charter 2010 training. Companies wishing to join the Charter 2010 will be able to do so from 1 October 2010. |

| A.I.S.E. Activity and Sustainability Report 2009-2010 now available! |
|
A.IS.E. released today, its joint activity and sustainability report, providing an overview of its 2009 to mid-2010 achievements in regulatory affairs and in voluntary activities, as well as the 2009 market value. The section on the Sustainability Report focuses on developments achieved with regards to the A.I.S.E. Charter for Sustainable Cleaning, it reports progress on the 2009 KPI and the latest thinking on the update of the Charter which will see in 2010 the addition of a product dimension to the existing company scheme. |

The theme of the Annual Review this year is ‘Towards Sustainable Cleaning’, and demonstrates how industry continues to actively contribute towards sustainability through the ongoing development of voluntary industry initiatives, and through the efforts undertaken at EU level to ensure that an optimal regulatory framework is in place. In this Annual Review you will find details of our 2008 achievements in these two areas, as well as an economic overview of the detergents and cleaning products market for the household and industrial and institutional (I&I) sectors. |

| A.I.S.E. Detergent Test Protocol - 2009 |
|
A.I.S.E. released today a Test Protocol for the performance of Household Laundry Detergents (heavy duty and light duty detergents) and Laundry Additives. The purpose of this Protocol is to provide a minimum requirements methodology for assessing the performance of detergents across Europe, whatever the countries. This Protocol is aimed essentially at being shared with companies involved in these product categories but also external stakeholders and in particular test institutes and consumer organisations running comparative performance tests.
The outcome of this approach is aimed at offering a realistic and reliable comparison of product qualities for consumers, through an improvement in the test quality.

| A.I.S.E. Launches its Second Sustainability Report: Industry affirms its commitment to sustainable development |

Our industry is very pleased to announce that in 2006 there was a reduction in the rate of CO2 emissions and a reduction in the rate of water consumption.
Over 46 companies are now participating in the A.I.S.E. Charter for Sustainable Cleaning, representing more than two thirds of all household and cleaning output in the European Union. |
