REACH
The REACH regulation entered into force on 1st June 2007. It is now down to the companies to ensure that the regulation is correctly implemented.
REACH and A.I.S.E
We want REACH to be a success and are therefore committed to its effective implementation. A.I.S.E. members have to deal with many aspects of REACH: registration, downstream user duties, communication in the supply chain and to consumers. A.I.S.E. is actively involved in the implementation of the REACH Regulation. We believe that REACH is a significant opportunity to build consumer and end-user confidence in chemicals.
Exposure Assessment
To support suppliers/registrants (manufacturers and importers) prepare their chemical safety assessments and reports, A.I.S.E. has developed comprehensive and generic use information to assist in exposure assessment for substances used in the cleaning and maintenance products sector. Interacting with external Stakeholders
A.I.S.E. is working in close dialogue with ECHA and all interested parties to ensure that REACH is effectively implemented. A.I.S.E. takes part in several major initiatives such as
- HERA: a joint A.I.S.E./Cefic project
- DUCC (Downstream User of Chemicals Coordination group): A.I.S.E. is a founding partner of this platform
- ECHA
- Cefic REACH platform and working group
