Enzymes are a great technology used in detergents which have impact on sustainability, reducing energy consumption when cleaning and tackling specific stains. A.I.S.E. has a long-standing history of collaboration with Enzyme manufacturers (AMFEP) on initiatives to ensure safe handling of these important substances. Now, A.I.S.E. has engaged with the association counterparts in the United States, ACI and HCPA, to progress initiatives on this topic beyond the EU.

The four associations have developed a factsheet on the role of enzymes in detergent products. The aim of this factsheet is to explain the role of these important ingredients, their environmental benefits and specific applications in friendly way, suitable for all kinds of audience, both technical and non-technical.

It is also presented as an example of global collaboration.
