Ahead of the forthcoming CARACAL meeting of 22 November, A.I.S.E. has written to the European Commission and Member States to call for the postponement of the applicability dates for reporting to Poison Control Centres (PCCs) (CLP Annex VIII).
We see it as critical that a one year postponement of the deadline (from January 2020 to January 2021) is granted to industry, given the number of uncertainties and delays currently observed. This will then enable a much more pertinent and reliable implementation of the legal requirement to report information to Poison Control Centers, which we fully support.
