Brussels, 9 April 2013, A.I.S.E. the International Association for Soaps, Detergents and Maintenance Products, jointly comments on the European Commission's adoption of the Single Market for Green Products Initiative noting that "Industry associations, such as AIM (Brands), FoodDrink Europe, A.I.S.E. (Detergents), Cosmetics Europe are supportive of a common EU product and organization environmental footprinting methodology based on life cycle analysis to preserve the Single Market and drive sustainability progress. The pilot phase should make sure that the objectives can be met through adequate, resource efficient, and consumer relevant tools, securing also its international relevance and not undermining the competitiveness of the EU industry”.
